"Ska-ing West" rescata de los archivos de Torjan antiguas grabaciones menos populares de ska, algunos de ellos son la primera vez que salen a la luz en este formato. Esta recopilación recoje canciones desde los principios del sonido Ska con artistas de la talla de Owen Gray, Baba Brooks, Eccles Clancy, Rupie Edwards, Ernest Ranglin o el legendario Roland Alphonso.

29ª Edición de los premios IRAWMA

Irawma Awards 2010

El pasado 2 de Mayo de 2010 se entregaron los premios IRAWMA en su 29ª edición, de los cuales, Queen Ifrika, ha sido la máxima galardonada, llevándose 4 premios de los 42 que se entregaron. "Best Recording Artist of the Year", "Best Female D.J./Rapper", "Most Educational Entertainer" y "Songwriter of the Year".

En la categoría "Community Service Award", Help Jamaica se quedó a las puertas de llevarse el galardón y finalmente fue entregado a Shaggy & Friends con su trabajo para recaudar fondos para ayudar a los afectados por la catástrofe de Haití.

Nos han sorprendido extraños galardones en categorías como música Latina o Reggaeton con galardonados como Enrique iglesias o Pit Bull.

Sugar Minott Hospitalizado

Sugar Minott Hospitalizado.

El veterano cantante / productor de Reggae / Dancehall Sugar Minott, ha sido hospitalizado debido a que los médicos le han diagnosticado una enfermedad cardiaca, una angina de pecho. La angina de pecho produce un dolor severo en el pecho a causa de la falta de suministro de sangre y oxígeno al músculo cardíaco, que se debe generalmente a la obstrucción o espasmo de los vasos sanguíneos del corazón.

Debido a su estado de salut, Minott no podra viajar por el momento así que ha cancelado todos sus conciertos de forma indefinida. Desde Jump & Prance le deseamos una pronta recuperación.
